Book Creation Course
Do I need writing experience?
No. Heart-to-Story is designed to help you understand the process as you build. You don’t need a writing qualification or previous publishing experience.
Do I need to already have a book idea?
It helps, but you don’t need a fully developed story. The early stages help you explore ideas and identify the story worth developing.
Is this only about writing?
No. Writing is central, but children’s book creation involves much more. Heart-to-Story also introduces illustration planning, production, proofing, publishing, launching and author development.
Will the course write my book for me?
No. Heart-to-Story teaches you how to develop and make decisions about your own work. Your voice, imagination and story remain yours.
Is the Blueprint separate from the course?
The Blueprint is an integral part of the Heart-to-Story system. Activities throughout the course feed into it so your work develops alongside your learning.
Can I work at my own pace?
Yes. Heart-to-Story is designed as a guided, self-paced online journey.
Does completing the course guarantee my book will be published?
No. Publishing involves creative, technical, financial and business decisions unique to every project. Heart-to-Story prepares you to understand those decisions and take your next steps more confidently.
Is Heart-to-Story only for self-publishing?
No. Much of the creative development is relevant regardless of the publishing route you eventually choose. The course also helps you understand different pathways so you can make an informed decision.
Do I need an illustrator before starting?
No. The course helps you understand the role of illustration and eventually prepare to communicate your creative direction to an illustrator.
Resources
Are the Heart-to-Story resources free?
Some resources are completely free, while others may be available as paid guides, worksheets or specialist tools. Each resource will clearly show what is included before you download or purchase.
Do I need to take the course to use the resources?
No. Heart-to-Story resources are designed to be useful on their own, whether you are just exploring an idea, already writing your book or looking for help with a specific part of the process.
What kind of resources are available?
Resources may include YouTube videos, ebooks, worksheets, planning tools, templates and practical guides covering areas such as story development, book layout, publishing decisions, budgeting and the author journey.

What is Heart-to-Story mentorship?
Mentorship offers personalized guidance for authors who need support beyond a course or resource. Sessions are tailored to your book, your questions and where you are in the creative or publishing process.
Is mentorship included with the Heart-to-Story course?
Personalized one-to-one mentorship is separate from the course. The course provides the complete guided learning system, there are mentor led group zoom calls and workshops however mentorship gives you individual support specific to your project.
When should I consider mentorship?
Mentorship may be helpful when you feel stuck, need experienced feedback, are facing an important creative or publishing decision, or simply want someone to help you determine the best next step for your book.
Do I need to have a finished manuscript before booking mentorship?
No. You can seek support at different stages of the journey from developing an early idea to reviewing a manuscript, preparing for publication or thinking about your wider path as an author.

Does mentorship include publishing services?
Mentorship focuses on guidance, strategy and support. Where additional publishing or professional services are needed, those options can be discussed separately based on your project and goals. HRP does take selected publishing clients on application.
